Baked steak with roasted butternut and potatoes

Why bake a steak in the oven?  You will get that slow roasted even cooked flavor only gotten when cooked in the oven.  Use an oven thermometer to monitor the temperature of the steak.  It is better to under cook and let rest than to over cook the steak.  Enjoy

  1. This inspired me so I made the squash and potatoes tonight. I didn’t have any steak, but I like the idea of baking your steak. We usually grill it and I’d never thought of baking it before. Don’t know why.
I’m trying to go sugar free for the new year….and I usually make my squash with olive oil and a little bit of brown sugar. I thought, why not use sugar-free syrup instead? When the sugar melts, that’s what it looks like…
So, I just pulled it out of the oven. It smells like a pancake house. I’ll let you know how it “tastes” though. That’s the real question, right? 🙂
Thanks for the encourgement and idea to make this! I already had all the ingredients in the fridge!
